SignalGeneriX presented a radio finder system operating completely passively intended for the detection of emissions and the analysis of radio communication signals (COMINT) at the DEFEA 2023 exhibition. The system – portable by one man – allows a small patrol to monitor communication emissions in an area, revealing enemy presence and their exact location.

The system is a variant of the RFHUNTER®, with a quadruple array antenna. This new version is intended for detecting high frequency (HF) emissions, while the original version of the system with the characteristic dome antenna is intended for detecting low frequency (AM/FM) emissions. This new version was installed in a drone resulting in an aerial version. The COMNIT “hunter” has a greater detection radius due to the altitude at which it operates. The system can detect up to 2,048 emissions simultaneously and exchange data in real time with a remote Command & Control Station. Combining a ground-based RFHUNTER® unit with an aerial one automatically allows for improved and faster triangulation results and overall superior image capture and therefore situational awareness.

The rhythm at which SignalGeneriX is developing products reflects its self-confidence on its potential and abilities, considering that the launching of the RFHUNTER® was only a year ago.
