H/W Implementation

SignalGeneriX is capable of implementing design ideas from algorithm inception to simulation modelling (using state-of-the-art tools) and eventually up to final prototype boards. Depending on the application, special care is given to low power choices or high speed components. These include, but are not limited, to ADCs, DACs, DSP processors, Microcontrollers, custom SoCs and FPGAs.

The design flow can be summarised as:

  • Algorithm selection or development
  • System-level simulation using Matlab/Simulink
  • Bitwise implementation in Matlab/Simulink and/or VHDL
  • Algorithm optimisation from system and bitwise modelling
  • Bitwise implementation on off-the-shelf hardware 
  • (FPGAs, MCUs and/or DSP microprocessors)
  • Firmware development
  • Development of device drivers, protocol stacks, system interfaces
  • Design, fabrication, assembly and delivering of custom MCU, DSP or FPGA-based boards that meet demanding customer needs
