SignalGeneriX CEO receives the Manolis Christofides award
The President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiadis presented the “Manolis Christofides Award” to SignalGeneriX CEO, Dr Tasos Kounoudes in an event organized by the Cyprus Democratic Rally Association of Young Scientists in Nicosia on Friday the 6th of February. The “Manolis Christofides Award” was established by the Young Scientist Association as the highest-recognition of the scientific community of Cyprus and its achievements.
Addressing, the event, President Anastasiades said:
“We are called to award the Prize “Manolis Christofides’ to a brilliant scientist for his contribution to research, science and entrepreneurship. Dr. Tasos Kounoudes managed to transfer his knowledge and experiences in a start-up company, SignalGeneriX, and to grow the company which is now a model company in high-tech product design and manufacturing. He managed to give to Cyprus everything we ask as a state and as a society from our young scientists: To act with dedication to knowledge and innovation, to produce, to attract investments, to employ new scientists, to excel abroad, to have patents on his resume and of course, to make us proud”.

Adressing the event, the president of the President of the Democratic Rally Mr. Averof Neofytou said:
“ Dr. Tasos Kounoudes, who we honor today, is an excellent ambassador of the strategic objective that we set as a State for the development of entrepreneurial innovation and attract foreign investment. Investment in the areas of research, technology and innovation, which has the prospects and can become an important arm of our economy. Dr Kounoudes and SignalGeneriX is a role model in this field, an SME with only 10 researchers which excels internationally and makes our Country known with its achievements”.

Dr Kounoudes in his speech said that the “Manolis Christofides Award” is a great honor for himself and SignalGeneriX thanking the President of Cyprus, the Association of Young Scientists and the Democratic Rally. Dr. Kounoudes shared the award with the SignalGeneriX scientific team which as he said “is the engine of our company’s innovation and success” and then gave a short presentation of SignalGeneriX and its achievements.
