SignalGeneriX is one of the 30 technology companies operating in the defence industry in Southern Cyprus.

SignalGeneriX CEO and president of the “Cyprus Research and Innovation Association”, Dr Tasos Kounoudes covers in an interview the place of The Republic of Cyprus in the defence industry. He discussed how nowadays the defence industry has replaced expensive weapon systems with more technological systems made with commercial products, becoming more sophisticated and reducing costs, and that there are approximately 30 companies in The Republic of Cyprus operating in the field.

SignalGeneriX, as part of the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (KSEEK), has participated in 17 new European defence system development contracts in the past three years with a total value of 172.5 million euros and counts with the support of the Greek Ministry of Defence, placing Cyprus on the map of the European defence industry. SignalGeneriX has the infrastructure to fulfil the design and development needs of the National Guard as well as their system maintenance and upgrades. SignalGeneriX hopes that the first successful cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and the National Guard army begins as soon as possible since the local defence industry is not included in the equipment plans of the Ministry of Defence.

SignalGeneriX will co-organise the first Defence and Security conference on January 23, where the company will sign a cooperation protocol with the Association of Greek Aerospace Security and Defence Companies with the support of the Ministry of Defence. SignalGeneriX plans to sign similar agreements with France, the Czech Republic and other countries soon.
