WATERALERT – Signalgenerix

Innovative System for Intelligent on-line Monitoring of Potable Water Quality at Consumer Sites (WATERALERT)

Project Overview

The WATERALERT aims to develop an innovative low-cost system that can estimate the venturousness of potable water in the consumer premises. This system, that will use Wireless Sensor Networks technology, will allow the monitoring of qualitative water parameters that can be easily measured such as turbidity, pH, electric conductivity, dissolved oxygen, free residual chloride, temperature etc. These parameters can be measured with low-cost sensors. The sensor network will collect the measurements and it will combine the information in order to make decisions that concern the quality of the consumed water in real time.
