Automated Pest Management System for the Food System (PESTISCAN)

Project Overview

The PESTISCAN project aimed to develop a complete pest management system which is based on various automated monitoring traps. Images and other sensor data from the traps were collected in a gateway point for each monitored industry, where the pests were automatically identified and counted. Three different traps developed for the project needs: A flying insects trap, a crawling insects trap and a rodents trap. Additionally, a pest appearance prediction model was also developed.
