In the framework of the research infrastructure project SENSORLAB, SignalGeneriX Ltd in collaboration with the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Cyprus and Athens Institute of Technology has established a state-of-the-art Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) laboratory.

The cutting edge research laboratory will serve as the basis for all SignalGeneriX R&D activities in the area of wireless sensor networks which include the development and delivery of advanced technology and applications for the environmental, earth, health, condition monitoring and military sectors.

1. Extension  of the existing modeling techniques of subconscious attention (bottom-up approaches) with top-down information embedment so that self-conscious focus attention to be also effectively modeled,
2. Use of the models that will be developed for the experimental compression control, based in the focus of attention, in video transmission via low-bandwidth channels,
3. In-depth knowledge of biological and computational models that are related with the visual perception and possibilities of their use in other applications such content based retrieval from databases with multimedia material.
