Research and Development
At SignalGeneriX, we are dedicated to top level research for the development of innovative applications and custom solutions for a wide range of industries. The purpose and objectives of our company are to develop intellectual property products over a broad range of Digital Signal Processing and Communications applications. The fundamental and characteristic commonality of all these is that they are all predicated upon DSP and communication algorithms, a subject which is one of our company's major strengths. We are mainly focused on applying our IP and latest research outcomes to real world situations where our clients need beyond the state-of-the-art solutions. At SignalGeneriX we manage expertise on emerging DSP technologies both from a purely scientific and an industrial application point of view.
SignalGeneriX is placing emphasis in high level research and for this reason we have been continuously investing in the development and upgrading of our cutting-edge Communications and DSP research laboratories which are utilized for the benefit of the research projects involved. Our Research & Innovation is currently structured on four strategic research units. The following figure illustrates the four SignalGeneriX research units and indicative current R&D project themes.
SignalGeneriX is giving great emphasis in high level research and for this reason has invested in the establishment of cutting-edge hardware and DSP research laboratories which are utilized for the benefit of the research projects involved. The company has established the following research laboratories which support its R&D operations:
Wireless Sensor Network Laboratory
The WSN Laboratory was established in 2006 and is fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure for performing core and applied research in the area of wireless sensor networks. The laboratory provides the infrastructure for the development of the company's novel technology in wireless nodes, smart miniaturized antennas and higher level communication and remote monitoring platforms. The laboratory infrastructure is used in various national and EU co-funded projects for the development of new technology and applications for many industries.

FPGA and Hardware development Laboratory
The FPGA and hardware development laboratory was established in 2005 and since then it provides the infrastructure for the development of novel hardware solutions offered by SignalGeneriX to its clients. The laboratory is equipped with PCB designing software, PCB assembly and testing equipment and various prototyping equipment.
