Hardware Implementations

SignalGeneriX is capable of implementing design ideas from algorithm inception to simulation modelling (using state-of-the-art tools) and eventually up to final prototype boards. Depending on the application, special care is given to low power choices or high speed components. These include, but are not limited, to ADCs, DACs, DSP processors and FPGAs. The design flow can be summarised as:


  • Algorithm selection or development
  • System-level simulation using Matlab/Simulink
  • Bitwise implementation in Matlab/Simulink and/or VHDL
  • Algorithm optimisation from system and bitwise modelling
  • Bitwise implementation in off-the-shelf hardware (FPGA and/or DSP microprocessor evaluation kits)
  • Design and fabrication of custom boards using the minimum complexity and cost that will meet the customer demands
